Safety and parents
HEROZ is a cartoon hero game in the browser. Here is how it keeps players safe, in plain words, for players and for parents.
No account needed
Play straight away as a guest. We never ask for an email, phone number, real name, birthday or photo. Sign-in is optional.
Filtered chat you can turn off
In a match, players can type short messages. They are filtered for rude words, links and contact details, are not stored, and can be muted or switched off in the menu.
Earned, never gambled
Coins are earned by playing and only buy looks. There are no loot boxes, no paid spins and nothing to buy with real money today.
Cartoon fights
Chunky cartoon heroes and creatures. No blood, no gore, short matches.
For players
- Never put your real name, school, address or age in your player name or in chat.
- If someone makes you uncomfortable, mute them, tell a grown-up you trust, and tell us.
- Take breaks. A match ends in a few minutes, so it is easy to stop.
For parents
- What it is: a free browser game. Eight players pick heroes, fight waves of cartoon creatures and duel each other; the last one standing wins.
- Who your child plays with: other players and computer-controlled bots, which are marked on the scoreboard.
- Chat: filtered, not stored, and can be turned off in the menu. We are adding protected settings that keep chat off for younger players by default.
- The betting: between rounds, players can stake in-game gold on who wins a duel. That gold exists only inside one match, cannot be bought, and is gone when the match ends.
- Data: progress is stored in the browser; online play keeps a profile under a random id. See the privacy policy.
- Deleting data: clear the browser's site data to remove the local profile, and email hello@heroz.io to remove an online profile.
Reporting
Email hello@heroz.io with the player name and what happened. We can rename or remove names, reset ratings and block access.
